Richard Bussanich

Richard Bussanich was born and raised in Northern BC. He is a first generation Canadian (settler), father to Eirike, and husband to Trace.  Blessed to be working with ONA fisheries for the Syilx Nation focused on salmon recovery initiatives. Richard has previously worked with First Nations throughout the Pacific Northwest, Coastal and Inland regions for over four salmon generations. Key indigenous influencers in his life include: Percy Walkus, Frank Hanuse Sr., Nisgaa Nation (too numerous to name), Bob Guerin, Mark Thomas, Murray Ned, Syilx Nation (too numerous to name.)
