“I have lived in the Columbia Basin since 1967. For the past 43 years I have lived and worked along the Columbia River at Genelle, BC. Geological studies and the related earth mysteries and sciences of origins of water, plants and wildlife have been a major interest of mine since childhood and stay with me today, going forward into our everchanging climates and the effects of those.
I retired from working with the RCMP for 28 years on Crime Prevention, then went straight into Local Government as the Alternate Director for Area B of RDKB for 11 years, and into the position of Director for Lower Columbia/Old Glory-Area B for the past 12 years.
Having been a member of the Columbia River Treaty Local Government Committee since its inception, in recent years I became the Chair of that Committee. This group of dedicated Local Government leaders continues to work toward a healthier Columbia Basin for all its inhabitants through our Recommendations going forward in the Columbia River Treaty negotiations for a Modernized Treaty.”
