LaVerna Stevens is a member of the Secwépemc Nation, born on the Shuswap Reserve. LaVerna’s parents were Gustaf Pascal and Josaphine Pascal. She has been married to Louie Stevens for 50 years. LaVerna worked in the local high school. She and Louie have three children- Basil Jr, Clarissa and Kathy, and five grandchildren.
