Kukpi7 Rosanne Casimir is a strong Secwépemc Woman leading by example. She is the 14th elected Kukpi7/Chief for Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc. Kukpi7 Roseanne has lineage to the hereditary Chief Louis Clexlixqen (1852 -1915), (Chief Clexlixqen-Casimir and Elizebeth-Patrick and Lucindy-Thomas and Sadie- Kyé7e Annie and Stanley- Kí7ce Patricia and Qé7tse George). Kukpi7 Roseanne is married and is a proud mother of Vanessa and Denise, and Step-mom to Jordan, and has one grandchild, Kaidence.
Kukpi7 Rosanne’s personal mission statement is “Know your Passion, Visualize your Plan, Collect your Resources, and be Determined to Succeed!” She upholds these values in both her personal and professional life. She will continue to stand tall in her code of ethics which includes honesty, fairness, and trust.
Kukpi7 Rosanne believes that personal wellness will lead to community and Nation wellness. To be a good leader, one must learn to effectively communicate with all others in a positive and respectful manner. We are all equal and all have value.
She strives for a work-life balance. She serves her community as Kúkpi7/Chief and as Tribal Chief of the Secwepemc Nation, and shares quality time with family, soccer year-round, and post-pandemic travelling with her husband and family.
