Sandra Luke

“Kiʔsuʔk Kyukiyit- Hu qakǂik  Sandra Luke, Band Councillor from Yaqan Nukiy (Lower Kootenay Band, Creston BC). I have been actively involved with the Columbia River Treaty for the past six years. I am the Chair of the Lands and Resources Sector Council (Ktunaxa Nation Council), the Ktunaxa Leadership representative on the Canadian Negotiation Advisory team that is composed of the three Canadian Indigenous Nations, British Columbia and Canada and the Ktunaxa leadership representative on the Columbia River Treaty Indigenous Nations Working group. The mandate of the Ktunaxa Lands and Resources Sector is to ensure that the lands and resources within the Ktunaxa Territory are effectively managed and protected for the benefit of the citizens, communities and government of the Ktunaxa Nation.”
